In Memory of "Lady"

Posted by silverbucklehorses on January 15, 2009 at 2:29 PM

We said goodbye to our dear friend "Lady" today and she will be greatly missed. She was the kind of mare that made you look forward to riding every day and just being out at the barn. She was the ruler of all our horses, everyone recieved one of her trademark attitude adjustments at some point in time and all of our babies have been better for it. She was the keeper of justice and a great mare all around. She produced some beautiful and intelligent foals who are going to keep a part of her in this world forever. We know at some point in time in her life, she went to the NFR and got to show her talent in the roping arena. She loved cows and this big ole mare could cut a calf with the best of em. We competed in barrel racing events and all kinds of cow stuff. This mare sure has left an empty spot for all of us and we will never forget the time we spent with her. She put up a long hard fight with a terrible bone infection, but we knew when it was time to say when.
